ABOUT
With an undergraduate degree in Architecture from Germany and the United States, Georg Lauth completed his education with a master’s degree in interior design in England, where he is currently based. Georg was Head Designer for the last 16 years at the internationally acclaimed interior design firm, Nina Campbell. Before joining Nina, he was working at David Collins Studio, overseeing all of his private clients.
In the span of his 20-year career, Georg’s projects ranged from both private residences, to corporate establishments. These included working on private islands, period Manor Houses in the English countryside, jewellery boutiques, ski resorts and chalets, and private members clubs, all in key cities such as London, New York, Palm Beach, Gstaad, Colorado, and in the Middle East. Not to mention his clientele consists of both Hollywood celebrities, European aristocrats and Arabian royalty.
Since opening his own office at the beginning of 2020 Georg is very excited to have been asked to work on a private residence in Bangkok which is part of the new Kempinski Sindhorn development, a spacious flat in Chelsea, three farmhouses in Switzerland and an historic villa in his home country Germany.
Georg’s past projects across the globe and extensive travels, further developed his eye for detail and rich cultural influences. He has a passion for 20th century art and fine antique pieces throughout the centuries, which often appear in his projects mixed with pieces he finds on his travels. Like his work, Georg’s international background, allows him to build on his many creative interests. His love for detail leads Georg to custom design not only the rooms, but also the furniture pieces, which are tailored to suit the individual needs and desires of his clients.
In all of his work, Georg prioritises the architecture and light within its surroundings. This is followed by the use of the appropriate material, textures and scale which contribute to a unique interior, with its finishes set in its cultural situation.
